Everything is coming together miraculously. We, who are putting the event together, are all so excited. We think the whole event will be a blessing to all that attend.
Please remember that anyone can register for the 5K anytime prior to the run/walk. If you register the day of the event please register in person.
Raffle tickets are available directly after the 5K and in the evening, anytime prior to the drawing. Participants in the raffle do not need to be present to win prizes. Prizes include a Digital Camera, Sets of tickets to Ashford Manor, Gift Cards, and 2 awesome Gift Baskets.
The evening will consist of a Potluck, at 7:00, and a Concert, at 8:00. The Raffle drawing will take place during an intermission between bands. The music venue includes Tealvox, Fletcher/McTavish, and Sarah Mason.

How To Register or Order a T-shirt
To Register for the 5k or receive a t-shirt send us an e-mail with your name, t-shirt size and address. T-shirt sizes reference: Child's-small (6-8yrs. old), medium (10-12yrs. old), Large (14-16yrs. old), and Adult Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large are standard t-shirt sizes. All ordering must be completed by the July 9, 2009; all other orders will be completed on a first come first serve basis and supplies are limited. Please e-mail your information to:

The options and prices are as follows:
1. Early Registration 5K: $20.00 (Includes 5k participation, t-shirt, and evening concert.)
Registration on the day of the event is $25.00 and t-shirt supplies are limited.
2. If you don't want a t-shirt you can register for the 5k and concert for $15.00
3. T-shirt Sales: $15.00. Please indicate if you intend to pick-up a t-shirt at a distribution point [Athens (at the event), Athens (after the event), San Diego (North County), Oakland (Amye Scott)] or if you need the t-shirt shipped: Please add $5.00 per t-shirt to the price for all shipped items.

Purchase of t-shirt includes entry to concert.
4. Entry to concert only is $5.00 per Adult and children (16 and under) are free.

The Raffle
On the night of the Griffin Day 5k there will Great Music (band names to come), a potluck and a raffle. Already we have original artwork by Zoe Babits, a signed record from Fiction Family and products/services from local venders. If you would like to contribute anything to the raffle please e-mail:

Griffin Day 5k: The T-shirt
Hello! This is the first post on this site. Thank you for visiting and please tell everyone you know, that might be interested, about this site.
Here is the official design for the Griffin Day 5k t-shirt. The first picture shows the art and the second shows the design position on the shirt. Griffin's favorite color is purple, so I had to go with a purple shirt. I tried to do a design that showed cancer cells intermingled with white blood cell (yellow for design sake) that transition into an area with no cancer cells. My hope is that this shirt would be attractive, and be Male and Female friendly. Any comments about the t-shirt would be greatly appreciated.
We are very excited about this shirt and anticipate a great day of fun next month. Information on how to pre-order shirts and pre-register for the 5k will come soon.
